Qiu Chujji Qiu Chi (464–508), style name Xifan, was a native of Wucheng (now Wuxing County, Zhejiang Province) between the Southern Qi and Liang dynasties. He was able to write articles at the age of eight. Emperor Wu of Liang once appointed him as a Secretary in the Palace and an attendant awaiting imperial orders in the Wende Hall. The emperor once wrote Lianzhu poems, and dozens of court officials followed suit. The ones written by Qiu Chi were elegant and charming in diction, ranking first among them at that time. Qiu Xinggong A native of Luoyang in the Tang Dynasty. He was good at riding and archery. During the Zhenguan period (627–649), he made great contributions in the conquest of Gaochang.
