Migration and Distribution Legend has it that during the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a high-ranking official in the State of Lu named Shaozheng Mao, who gathered students to give lectures. Several times, he attracted Confucius' students to him and was hailed as "Wenren" by the people, meaning people praised him for his extensive knowledge, outstanding talent and being well-known in the world. Later, due to different political views from Confucius, he was executed by Confucius, who had become the Minister of Justice of the State of Lu, on the charge of "spreading dangerous words to disrupt governance". His descendants adopted "Wenren" as their surname to inherit their ancestor's fame. Another theory is that Zuo Qiuming, a high-ranking official in the State of Lu, was a well-known figure in ancient times, and some of his descendants took Wenren as their surname. Hall Name: Zhongshan Hall In the Han Dynasty, there was a Zhongshan Lieutenant named Wenren Tonghan. Hou Cang once expounded on the "Book of Rites" for tens of thousands of words and wrote the work "Hou's Records of Qutai", which he later taught to Wenren Tonghan. Tonghan, as a palace attendant to the crown prince, gave lectures at Shiquge (a pavilion where all the maps and books obtained by the Han Dynasty from the State of Qin when it entered the Pass were stored; in the Han Dynasty, it was a place where famous Confucian scholars expounded on scriptures).
