Cen Shen (715–770) He was from Jiyang (now Xinye County, Henan Province) in the Tang Dynasty. He was skilled in poetry. He initially served in the military camp and once went to the Tianshan area, so his poems often revolve around the frontier and battles. Due to his pure and elegant diction and painstaking efforts, his poetic style was particularly lofty. He successively held the positions of Supplementary Remonstrator and Court Gentleman, and later served as the governor of Jiazhou. Therefore, he was commonly known as Cen Jiazhou. He authored the Collection of Cen Jiazhou. Cen Yuying (1829–1889) Styled Yanqing and with the sobriquet Kuangguo, he was from Xilin, Guangxi in the Qing Dynasty. During the Sino - French War in Vietnam in the Guangxu period, he defeated the French troops. He rose to the position of the governor - general of Yunnan and Guizhou and was posthumously awarded the title of Xiangqin.
