Chi Shengchun: courtesy name Jianzhi. He was from Chuxiong during the Qing Dynasty. He was a Jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examination) during the Daoguang period and served as the Supervisor of the Imperial College. He was generous and his words and deeds conformed to etiquette, with honesty as his principle. He was good at calligraphy. He authored works such as *Diary of a Journey to Qin*, *Records of the Imperial Office*, and *Remaining Manuscripts of Poems and Prose*. Migration and Distribution: The Chi clan, originating from the Central Plains region, had spread far and wide over a long period. By the Ming and Qing dynasties, a large number of them appeared in the southernmost regions such as Fujian, Guangdong, and Yunnan.

Migration and Distribution (Information missing) The Xi clan branched off from the Su clan 2000 years ago. According to "Yuanhe Xingzuan", the Xi surname originated from the Ji clan and is the descendant of Gaoyangshi. A collateral son of Su Fensheng was enfeoffed in Xiyi, and his descendants thus took this as their surname. The prominent clan originated from Gaoping. And according to "Lushi", a son of the Su clan was enfeoffed in Xi and took Xi as his surname, known as the Xi clan. The location of Xiyi during the Zhou Dynasty was today's Biyang County, Henan Province. The earliest birthplace of the Chinese people with the Xi surname was in Qinyang. Later, they flourished in Gaoping, Shandong, and became a prominent local clan, while there were relatively few descendants left in their hometown in Henan. The prominent clan was located in Gaoping County, which is now northwest of Jinyang County, Shandong. Today, the Xi surname is not included in the top 100 surnames in the Mainland and Taiwan.
