Guan Zhong: A member of the Ji clan, with the family name Guan, given name Yiwu, and style name Zhong. He was from Yingshang (present-day Yingshang County, Anhui Province). He was a descendant of King Mu of Zhou, and was a Chinese ancient economist, philosopher, statesman, military strategist, and essayist. He was also a representative figure of the Legalist school during the Spring and Autumn Period. Guan Ning: A scholar during the Three Kingdoms period. He was from Zhuxu, Beihai Commandery. He traveled around the country to study and had profound knowledge. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, during the Yellow Turban Rebellion, he fled to Liaodong, where he gathered people to lecture on The Book of Poetry and The Book of Documents for as long as thirty years. Later, he returned to his hometown. Emperor Wen of Wei wanted him to serve as a Grand Master of the Palace, but he refused. Emperor Ming of Wei asked him to serve as the Minister of the Household, and he also declined. He wrote On Family Names. Guan Chong: A native of Jinling Commandery (present-day Changzhou, Jiangsu Province). He was the leader of a peasant uprising army at the end of the Sui Dynasty. In the ninth year of the Daye reign (613 AD), he led an uprising and supported Liu Yuanjin as the leader, serving as the Director of the Left of the Secretariat. Later, he died in battle.
